Student Release From Campus (Blue Slips)

Once students arrive on campus they cannot leave without prior notification from a parent/guardian to the Attendance Office. In order to leave the campus without attendance, citizenship, and scholarship penalties, students must obtain a BLUE SLIP from the attendance office prior to leaving campus. If student leaves without the BLUE SLIP they will be truant and parent/guardian cannot clear the absence.

Parents must call the ATTENDANCE OFFICE (ext 205) and leave a message that includes the following information:

Name and grade of student
Time and reason for leaving
Parent name and phone number for verification

Students may bring a written request for a BLUE SLIP to the attendance office BEFORE school begins provided all of the above information is listed on the written requests and a parent signs it.

Requests for Blue Slips will NOT be honored on the following days unless there is a verifiable medical or court appointment and that information is presented to the Attendance Office staff forverification. Personal family emergencies must have a parent/guardian come to the office to make a personal request.

Fridays prior to Saturday Dances
Fridays or any day before holidays/vacations
Any testing days (AP,STAR, CAHSEE,etc.)

Attendance personnel does not deliver messages to students; however if it is an EMERGENCY the attendance office staff will assist the parents as needed
